Hi, I'm Micayla Mollentze
A qualified Speech and Drama teacher passionate about helping students of all ages find their voice, build confidence, and discover the transformative power of performance.
A love for Drama that started before I could even choose it.
My mother was a Speech and Drama teacher, and from a young age she would take me to rehearsals and show nights, sparking a deep love for the Dramatic Arts that has never left me. As soon as I was old enough, I threw myself into drama classes, quickly landing main roles in school productions and realising that this was more than a hobby. It was my outlet, my passion, and my way of expressing myself.
In high school, I continued to grow as a performer, taking Drama as a subject and competing annually in the Overberg Eisteddfod across multiple categories, even earning a medal as Best Performer in my age group. From Grade 4 right through to Matric, I completed annual Performance Exams with LAMDA, culminating in a Grade 8 Gold Medal for Acting β an achievement I'm incredibly proud of.
βFirst we find your voice, then we help it carry.β
After school, I went on to study at the Cape Academy of Dramatic Arts (CADA), where I earned a Licentiate Teaching Diploma in Speech and Drama from Trinity College London, equipping me with the tools and techniques to teach students of all ages effectively and confidently.
My teaching journey began with preparing local school students for the Eisteddfod, and watching drama unlock something in those children, not just as performers, but as confident, expressive individuals, inspired me to open my own studio. I have since worked with students across public speaking, LAMDA exam preparation, eisteddfod and competition coaching, filmed audition prep, and speech and accent training.
Now, I offer both in-person classes and private one-on-one online sessions, making expert coaching accessible to students wherever they are. My goal as a teacher is simple: to help every student find their voice and develop the tools they need to succeed, on the stage and in everyday life.
